To put it simply, I love Tehran, despite the crowded, noisy, dense, and gritty image that this gigantic metropolis has developed, and I'm not denying any of that, but what we cannot overlook is the work of all the lesser known and perhaps less appreciated artists, architects, and artisans that have managed to create the image, the soul, and the rich visual texture of the city.
From the gleaming monumental and modern buildings, to the charming traditional architecture, to the colourful murals and street art, and even the graffitis, Tehran is a true melting pot. So much to observe and discover, and such a deeply personal and emotional journey.
I wholeheartedly believe we need to change our perspective regarding Tehran as a modern and tough city.
